Investigate Current In Wire
Aim :
The aim of this experiment is to investigate the current at which a piece of wire will break.
Materials :
-   A Power Supply
-   Leads
-   A Suitable Wire Holder or Clips
-   Wires
-   Ammeter
-   Ruler
-   A Micrometer Screw Gauge
Procedure :
-   Set up a circuit in such a way that you can measure the current through a wire.
-   Measure the diameter of wire and then connect it between the clips or wire holder.
-   Increase the current slowly until the wire breaks
-   Record this current.
-   Repeat the experiment for a different lengths of wire and different types of wire.
-  Now test the current (I0) when a current close to that of the previously measured when
   current is suddenly applied (Im).
